Responsibilities
The Hospital Administrator/CNO oversees the hospital operational effectiveness of assigned facility toward attainment of objectives to include operating policies, processes, procedures, system growth, fiscal outcomes, shared governance, and physician relationships.
- Develop, evaluate, and execute facility strategic plan, aligning with organizational goals.
- Initiate and implement process improvement strategies relating to workflow, quality care, and patient safety.
- Represent facility and organization on system-wide initiatives and strategic programming and policy development for sustained growth.
- Negotiate and/or oversee regulatory compliance and contract management consistent with business strategic plan.
- Manage relationships, both internally and externally, supporting facility and organizational goals.
- Oversee and create facility budget and move resources within the budget to meet facility targets.
- Support and assist with the direction and coordination of medical staff activities including relationship management aspects, recruitment and retention.
- Work closely with the Medical Staff for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and medical staff to identify and develop new patient care programs, policies, procedures, and practice standards for the nursing departments; develop and implement programs to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care provided by the organization; and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to nursing services and healthcare.

Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Fellow credential(s) preferred
Education:
- Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 4 of those years being in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences
- 10 years of progressive experience required.
- 5 years of management experience preferred.
- Leadership background in a hospital setting overseeing clinical/financial operations.
- Prior experience providing oversight of workflow, quality care, and patient safety. Background in leading clinical organization on system-wide initiatives and strategic programming and policy development for sustained growth.
- Previous experience managing and creating facility budget and meeting facility financial targets.
- Rural Healthcare experience preferred.
