Description
The Manager of Clinical Resource in Materials Management acts as overall Manager of clinical value analyst RN staff, resource, facilitator and liaison between Materials Management, Executive Administration and clinical areas to assure the cost-effective procurement and utilization of products to deliver optimum clinical and financial outcomes. The position as overall responsibility and supervision for all clinical product committees and related functions of agendas, product evaluations, and implementations. The focus of the position is to identify and implement product standardization and total cost per unit reductions while striving to improve patient outcomes across Centra Systems.

Responsibilities
Manages overall activities of RNs supervisedManages overall activities of clinical product committees, new clinical product introductions into Centra facilitiesServes as Clinical Expert on Executive Steering CommitteeWorks closely with VP Chief Resource Officer in cost saving initiatives and management of processes affecting supply chainServes as key person for submission of all new clinical product request across all Centra facilitiesUses clinical knowledge and research to analyzes product requestWorks with clinicians to identify correct products for useWorks with vendors to identify new product technologyOrganizes and leads projects involving multi-department / multi-facility new product evaluations and product changesLead projects Centra wide with developing plan, involving all persons, gathering data, develop timeline and meeting expected date for completion to make a changeServes as Chairperson of assigned CQVA (Clinical Quality Value Analysis) / product committee meetingsResponsible for meeting annual savings goals of assigned CQVA / product committeeLead clinician representing Centra and participating/working with hospital network for Centra participation in group initiativesDevelops product evaluation forms, physically provides evaluation return boxes to individual depts and collects evaluation forms, summarizes and provides feedback to CQVA committeesWorks with MedSurg Distributor and internal Centra customers including Pharmacy to identify substitutions of products for vendor backorders and discontinued productsResponsible for follow-up of product defectsMaximizes current technological resources of the supply chainFacilitates problem resolution for the department and organizationCoordinates demonstrations/evaluations with vendors and departmentsEstablishes and monitors supply chain goals in area of responsibility
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelors Degree. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Registered Nurse
Required Experience: Five (5) years of clinical experience. Proficient in use of Excel, Word, Keyboarding, Email, and PowerPointPreferred Experience: Surgical Services experienceRequired Certifications and Licensures: Licensed in the state of Virginia by the State Board of Nursing or holds Multistate Nursing Registration
