Sales Consultant – Retail Health Center
Location: In-person | Active Florida 2-15 or 2-40 Health Insurance License Required | Bilingual Preferred
Retail Health Centers are essential to delivering a best-in-class customer experience, driving market share, improving retention, and supporting profitable growth. Sales Consultants play a key role in achieving these goals by leading customer interactions, community engagement, and sales initiatives.
This role involves consulting with prospective and existing members, managing leads, maintaining expert knowledge of health insurance products, and delivering a personalized experience. The position requires adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment and a proactive approach to outreach and business development.
Essential Responsibilities-
Sales Operations
• Deliver consultative sales and service experiences to customers seeking health solutions.
• Analyze customer needs using sales tools and systems; recommend appropriate products.
• Compare plans for new or existing members and explain product features and benefits.
• Educate customers on digital tools, incentives, and additional services.
• Conduct cross-selling of multiple product lines.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and in-person consultations.
• Manage leads through outbound campaigns and follow-ups to drive new business.
• Track and report activity using CRM and lead management tools.
• Support enrollment and education events, both in-center and in the community.
• Maintain customer relationships to promote loyalty and retention.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures to record work activities and outcomes.
Community Engagement & Business Development-
• Develop a personal business development plan focused on internal and external community outreach.
• Conduct grassroots marketing, event participation, and relationship building outside the center.
• Partner with local groups, networking organizations, and community leaders.
• Attend employer group sites to assist with individual enrollments.
• Track and report community engagement efforts and their impact on growth.
• Support brand initiatives and local market presence campaigns.
Center Operations-
• Support special events, seminars, clinical programs, and promotional activities.
• Greet and assist walk-in, telephonic, or virtual visitors and guide them to appropriate resources.
• Host customer video appointments and provide informational tours.
• Consistently follow protocols for logging visitor information and analyzing trends.
• Promote a collaborative, mission-driven team environment.
Job Qualifications-
• 2+ years of experience in a retail sales environment
• High school diploma or GED
• Active Florida 2-15 or 2-40 Health Insurance License
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based tools
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with health insurance products (individual and group)
• Experience in outside sales and/or business development
• Background in public speaking, networking, and relationship management
