The School of Nursing invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions in our Owensboro, Kentucky, location. Minimum Education and Experience: Must have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). Master’s Degree preferred (MSN). Prior teaching experience is preferred. Curriculum Vitae required. Applicants will be considered as openings become available for teaching in each semester. Instructors are expected to attend orientation/trainings, submit course syllabus, order textbooks or other reading materials, provide developmentally meaningful feedback, present engaging and diverse learning experiences, respond to students in a timely manner, communicate regularly with designated course chair, maintain collegial and respectful relations with members of the UofL community and external stakeholders, submit course data and final grades within university deadlines, and comply with other requests as a part-time lecturer. In addition to the responsibilities included above, individuals hired into a clinical instructor role within the BSN programs are expected to design and implement the clinical experience to meet the clinical and/or course objectives, under the direction of the clinical coordinator. The clinical instructor is responsible for providing direct or indirect supervision of the student, as outlined in the course expectations, provide student performance feedback and evaluate progress in meeting established clinical/course objectives and outcomes, and consult with the clinical coordinator if students deviate from the established expectations.
