Job Summary
The Nurse in Professional Development (NPD) works collaboratively with the leadership team in conducting needs assessments/gap analyses to identify interventions to address gaps in performance. The NPD will develop, plan, and implement education that facilitates the professional growth, skill development, initial/ongoing competence, and attainment of standards of care to enhance patient safety for direct care providers. They evaluate outcomes of interventions, with a focus on quality, safety and staff development. The Nurse in Professional Development role requires a collaborative relationship with the educator/leadership team to implement changes and establish clinical accountabilities for organizational success.
Required Qualifications
• Require three (3) years recent clinical experience in an acute care specialty setting.
• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prefer expertise in adult education and other fields as appropriate.
• Specialty certification preferred.
Mandatory Education
BSN: Bachelor of Science Nursing

BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
