Job Summary
Responsible and accountable for all duties related to the preparation of trays and equipment; processing of general and specialty surgical instruments including cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping and sterilization; quality control testing and monitoring of sterilization equipment and maintaining records. They may perform assigned duties such as cleaning, stocking, transporting, and dispensing supplies and equipment, and assisting with orientation of new staff members. Also proficient using the computerized instrument tracking and monitoring system. Advanced knowledge and skill in surgical specialty instrumentation and equipment, serve as resources for other team members, and assume leadership roles. Performs other duties as assigned by lead and the needs of the department.
Required Qualifications
• Require a minimum of three (3) years of experience with instrumentation or one (1) year, 2 years preferred, of experience and one of the following active/current certifications: - Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist (CSIS) - Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS)

Mandatory Education
