Hiring Company: Boar's Head Provisions Co., Inc.Overview:This position will coordinate with our manufacturing facilities or vendor partners to ensure appropriate inventory levels on all products for daily order fulfillment while complying with our freshness policies. The successful candidate will develop and maintain a working relationship with key personnel positioned in all facilities that provide inventory to Boar’s Head to provide an exceptional level of customer service and assistance to the distribution and sales teams.Job Description:Essential FunctionsResponsible for monitoring and adjusting production or purchasing using Oracle Inventory and Anaplan Demand Management systems to ensure adequate inventory levels of all responsible productsWork with all manufacturing facilities on production schedules to ensure inventory levels within fresh date guidelines for all distribution pointsWork with the Transportation Department to ensure the timely arrival of all products into the Distribution facilitiesDevelop and maintain working relationships with personnel positioned throughout each of the Boar’s Head manufacturing plants or in our vendor facilitiesSupply daily and weekly raw materials needed for Boar’s Head manufacturing sitesSupply Family Food vendors with monthly/quarterly forecasts as requested.Investigate and work to resolve any inventory discrepanciesWork with department personnel to make sure that all the inventory that is becoming too old to sell through normal channels is moved through other methods.Daily use of strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills (MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook), to reach sound, rational, and logical conclusions to support decision-making processesAbility to effectively meet corporate requirements and expectations for the department, including travel and early morning work hoursEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Inventory, or related field, or knowledge equivalent to such a degree. Three (3) years’ experience in a food-related environment, preferably two (2) years in a demonstrated area of leadership, ownership, and responsibility in production planning or related areas of developmentCurrent knowledge of existing processes and procedures of advanced inventory management and control in a “SAP” inventory-like system, or the equivalent, demonstrated knowledge of inventory processes and procedures utilized in a food-related environment, implementing present-day management system softwareDemonstrated ability to effectively present information in clear, concise formats and to effectively communicate with all levels of management, including sales, customer service, distribution, and manufacturing.Experience with both Oracle Inventory and Anaplan Demand Management systems is preferred.Language SkillsMust have excellent oral and written communication skillsMust be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnelMathematical SkillsMust have the ability to calculate and use basic math.Reasoning AbilityTechnical reasoning and analytical abilityPhysical Demands Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for an extended period of time.Work Environment Office environmentLocation:Brooklyn, NY, Forrest City, AR, Groveport, OH, Holland, MI, New Castle, IN, Petersburg, VA, Sarasota, FLTime Type:Full timeDepartment:Inventory Management (DIST)
