Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Job Description
The Medical-Surgical RN provides professional nursing care for a variety of adult patients, following the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. RNs may be assigned to one of several med-surg units (3SE, 4Med, or 5Surg), with a maximum 6:1 patient ratio , enabling strong patient-provider relationships. This role offers a supportive, collaborative team culture focused on making a difference in patient lives every day.
Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Schedule & Location:
• Schedule: 3x12s, Full-Time (0.9 FTE)
• Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Shift Type: Nights
• Hours per Day: 12
• Weekend Requirements: TBD
• On-Call Requirements: TBD
• Location: Onsite – Salina KS 67401 United States
Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Salary/Wage
• $29.00 – $43.00/hour (based on education and experience)
• $2.00 shift & weekend differential
• Relocation Allowance: Up to $5,000 (discussed during interview)
Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Duties
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients using the nursing process
• Perform assessments, document conditions, plan care, and evaluate outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Maintain safe, therapeutic environment for patients
• Work in designated med-surg units (3SE, 4Med, or 5Surg)
• Participate in patient/family education and support
Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Required Qualifications
• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
• BLS Certification (required)
• Kansas RN License (active, unencumbered – required)
• New grads accepted!
Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift, position, and transport patients
• Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods
Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Education
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (required)
• Will consider candidates with equivalent experience
