Director of Operations
Nursery Operations
• Direct planting and growing of plant material to meet quality and inventory standards.
• Optimize greenhouse production capacity through data-driven planning.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all agricultural and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Horticulture, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in operations, purchasing, logistics, or a related role, including 7+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience supervising teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven track record in managing plant production and/or manufacturing operations.
• Strong negotiation, forecasting, and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and production management tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Physical & Mental Requirements
• Frequently requires analytical thinking, data interpretation, and decision-making.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
• Requires strong verbal and written communication skills and basic financial acumen.
• Work is split between office, greenhouse, outdoor, and manufacturing environments.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in variable weather and industrial conditions.
• Extended hours and weekends may be required during peak seasons.
