We have an opportunity for a Landscape Crew Member to join our Maintenance team in our Venice, FL office. This role is positioned to have a big impact in our growing business both organically and through acquisitions. This role will provide the upfront installation of irrigation clients' needs. This team member will report to the Irrigation Manager of a branch and/or region. The role will be based in Venice, FL in the local branch office. Job Summary: Join our team as a Landscape Crew Member and play a vital role in servicing our commercial, private, and public clients across Florida. You'll provide essential labor support and safely operate equipment to ensure efficient job site operations. This role combines hands-on landscaping work with maintenance responsibilities. Responsibilities: Mowing and Edging: Mowing lawns using power mowers and edging along walkways, curbs, and flowerbeds. Trimming and Pruning: Trimming hedges, shrubs, and trees to maintain their shape and health. Weeding and Mulching: Removing weeds from flowerbeds and applying mulch to retain moisture and suppress weed growth. Planting and Watering: Planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, and watering them as needed. Lawn Care: Applying fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides to lawns as directed. Cleanup: Removing debris, leaves, and trash from lawns and landscaped areas. Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other hand and power tools. Safety: Adhering to all safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Customer Service: Interacting with clients in a professional and courteous manner. Other Duties: Performing other landscaping tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred. Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment. Basic knowledge of plants and landscaping practices. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license (may be required). Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to [Weight] lbs). Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain.
