We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively supervise a team while ensuring that all equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely. Principal Duties and Responsibilities : Manages and supervises all ground, maintenance, carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, masonry, roofing, sewage treatment plant, and electrical operations. Remains current on all government regulations and restrictions as applicable to grounds and maintenance. Collaborates with Plant Administrator, architects, engineers, and general contractors, sub-contractors, etc., as needed. Ensures Safe operation of multiple equipment, including but not limited too, tractor, backhoe, chainsaws, and four-wheel drive mowers. Responds to multi-level emergencies on a 24/7 basis as needed. Oversees daily work performance by onside vendors and ensures they adhere to Mount Saint Joseph Standards. Ensures good housekeeping/cleanliness standards are kept within all sections of the maintenance department for safety and insurance purposes. Complete all annual safety training as required. Assigns daily duties for each maintenance worker according to needs and specializations. Interviews and recommend candidates to the Plant Administrator for filling any open positions in the maintenance department. Provides orientation and on the job training for all new maintenance staff members Collaborates with management for safety regulations and ensures they are carried out by staff members. Approves bi-weekly payroll and PTO records for all maintenance staff. Negotiates and purchases items needed to operate grounds and maintenance upon approval of Plant Administrator. Maintains thorough records, including but not limited to, manuals, blueprints, and drawing/maps on the grounds and maintenance operation and staff members in an organized manner. Completes KY Tools-UST Designated Compliance Manager of 1 UST (Unleaded Gasoline) annually. Performs research on a wide variety of equipment and parts, while obtaining approval for the purchase, warranty, and installation of such from the Plant Administrator if above acceptable limit. Seeks proposals/quotes/bids on a wide variety of jobs and equipment under the direction of the Plant Administrator. Skills and Abilities: Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Also, normal hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity. Ability to grasp and lift 50 pounds or more. Ability to work under moderate pressure and to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Education, Training, And/Or Experience: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. At least three (3) to (5) years of maintenance management 3. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
