Job Responsibilities Responsible for daily operations of Horticulture and Agriculture (Hort/Ag) Programs including day, evening, on-campus and off-campus delivery methods. Provide Hort/Ag program direction including SACSCOC Program Learning Outcomes and Student Learning Outcomes. Includes coordination of program & curriculum development, full-time faculty, scheduling, enrollment, advising, recruiting & retaining students; maintain departmental budgets, establish Hort/Ag related partnerships, & provide instruction with hands-on applications to students in Hort/Ag program giving them training and experience required to meet the needs of our community in Hort/Ag related careers.
Minimum and Additional Requirements Faculty teaching associate degree courses not designed for transfer to baccalaureate degree: Bachelor's degree in teaching discipline, or Associate's degree horticulture or related field) & demonstrated competencies in teaching discipline & two (2) yrs progressively responsible related work/teaching exp. Prefer Master's in horticulture-related field, five (5) yrs exp. in greenhouse maintenance, landscape maintenance, nursery, sports turf maintenance, or other horticulture related areas. SCDL required.
