Site Supervisor
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Reading YMCA Childcare Director, staff person oversees the daily Wyomissing Hills Before and After School Program including planning and implementing appropriate activities and supervising and coordinating activities of the program and staff.
Essential Functions
• Supervise 4-8 program employees
• Maintain required documentation for participants and staff.
• Coordinate hours and needs of program with staff. Manage program staffing schedule.
• Assist with promotion of program within the service area.
• Assist with the development of additional middle school programs, special events, and fundraising.
• Have an awareness of current and future middle school program trends.
• Have knowledge of all YMCA programs and ability to adequately interpret the YMCA and its mission to communities served.

• Display Marketing & Social Skills
• Three Hours of Risk Management Training
• Hold Current American Red Cross, CPR & First Aide Certifications
• Ability to recruit & Direct both Staff & Volunteers
• Know how to manage facilities, equipment, programs, personnel, & schedules
• Understand the relationship of the Branch to the Association and the Association's relationship to National and the worldwide movement of the YMCA.
• Must meet one of the following education requirements:
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.
• An associate's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children.
• An associate's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.
