JOB SUMMARY
Fawley Bryant Architecture, a full-service architecture firm with offices in Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida, is seeking an architectural staff member. This person will perform a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural design for projects of moderate size and complexity. You will be involved with job site reviews, BIM drafting, and performing general office duties related to architecture, including design, contract document production, and construction administration support. Additionally, duties will include contributing to the company’s overall objectives and goals, which may include a public presence and participation in community and marketing events, occasionally held outside regular work hours.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Creation and coordination of sophisticated, efficient, and innovative designs
• Coordinating project development with the project manager and assisting with all project efforts, both technical and administrative, to ensure successful completion.
• Production and coordination of working drawings.
• Keeping of document records of the design and construction drawing processes
• Laying groundwork for the successful organization and kick-off for a project
• Coordinating the preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.
• Assist in the review, processing and tracking of all RFI’s, Submittals, Shop Drawings and related consultant reviews and responses and jurisdictional permitting.
• Monitoring and distributing internal and external project communications as requested.
• Meeting deadlines, removing obstacles, and participating in design team meetings
• Coordinating with consultants on each phase of the project and communicating any updates or changes.
• Collaborating with architectural and administrative team members within the office
• Knowledge and application of current building, zoning, fire protection and jurisdictional code requirements
SKILLS REQUIRED
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Autodesk Revit
• Excellent written, oral, and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to collaborate with others in a deadline driven environment.
• Proactive attitude
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5-8 years of professional experience within an architecture firm
• Licensure preferred but not a requirement.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program (or equivalent professional experience)
