Job Description
Salary is up to $120,000!
Position:
At Techo-Bloc, the Maintenance Supervisor is a key and essential member with the responsibility of overseeing our production plants. As a maintenance professional, you are a champion of safety, training, and preventive, corrective and continuous improvement maintenance interventions.
We are looking for a highly motivated team member with a strong work ethic and a go-getter, self-starter attitude who is constantly looking to challenge the status quo and lead multiple projects that will help further Techo-Bloc's drive to progress and innovate.
Here is a snapshot of your day-to-day:
• Delegates work orders and instructions to maintenance staff.
• Prepare or stage parts and tools needed for morning maintenance projects.
• Validate inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Performs various preventative maintenance tasks and/or repairs to production machinery in an efficient and timely manner.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and screws.
• Monitors down time reports for production machinery and schedules necessary repairs.
• Provides daily status reports to management regarding the completion of work orders.
• Repair/troubleshoot hydraulic cylinders, valves, solenoids and pumps.
• Identify and make hydraulic hoses as needed.
• Ability to properly operate band saws, torch, drill presses, grinders and other shop tools.
• Troubleshoot using electrical schematics and multimeter/megger to diagnose electrical issues.
• Reads and understands wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits; IO’s, OL’s, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components.
• Familiar with troubleshooting/set up of VFD drives; SEW drives, Siemen, Lenze, Allen Bradley, AB.
• Familiar with interference fits and bearing heaters.
• Repair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
• Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Be available for on call support for the maintenance team. This is a 24/7 facility.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
• 5+ years’ experience working in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance or relevant field.
• Proficient Electrical skills
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical components; IO’s, OL’s, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components.
• Read and comprehend schematics and diagrams.
• Experience with 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems.
• Able to use multi-meter, megger, and other test equipment.
• Maintain, install, troubleshoot VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Proficient with use of power tools, measuring devices, lathe and/or milling machinery.
• Previous experience using bearing heaters, interference fits, and/or removing gear boxes or seized bearings/shafts.
• Collaborative; Works in the spirit of partnership.
Education and Experience:
• Electrical certificates or equivalent experience (preferred)

The employee is occasionally required to remain stationary; ascend and descend steps and ladders; and position self in tight spaces.
