Job Summary (See the Summary of Responsibilities for a comprehensive list of duties):
The primary responsibility of the security guard is to ensure the safety and security of Bell and Evans, its employees, product, and equipment.
Summary of Responsibilities: Include the following; other duties may be assigned.
• Monitor, verify, and authorize the entry and departure of all employees and visitors to Bell and Evans facilities by checking employee IDs or signing visitors in to the visitor’s log
• Answer, and direct phone calls after business and on weekends
• Maintain the list of emergency contacts and contact members of management as needed
• Escort personnel and visitors off from Bell and Evans property as directed by management
• Enforce all parking and driving rules within the Bell and Evans parking lots
• Maintain order and assist as needed during an evacuation
• Collect and distribute mail within Bell and Evans
• Conduct building checks periodically to ensure safety and security of Bell and Evans property; scanning all checkpoints along the way
• Other duties may be assigned by the Security Supervisor
Qualifications and Demands
The individual must possess strong customer service skills as well as be able to communicate effectively with both employees and visitors. Must be willing to work a minimum of 8 hours and up to as many as 12 hours during a given shift. Must be comfortable working individually as well as within a team environment. Must be comfortable walking for long periods (when necessary) as well as be able to move up 100 pounds. Team member must possess a valid driver’s license in order to be considered for this position.

Education and/or Experience (Due to the high volume of applicants, only those who meet the minimum qualifications will be selected for interviews):
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or a minimum of six months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of both education and experience.
