Position Summary:
The Head Flag Football Coach is responsible for managing all aspects of the Flag Football Program. This includes the recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, and successful preparation, planning, and strategy for the development and sustaining of a highly competitive intercollegiate flag football program. Additionally, the head coach needs to be involved in fund raising, social media and other duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Lead the flag football program with on field coaching.
2. Supervise and professionally develop assistant coach.
3. Recruit prospective student athletes on and off campus. Evaluate player talent for recruits.
4. Organize recruiting communications and campus visits.
5. Set up and monitor student athlete academics.
6. Lead retention efforts for flag football players.
7. Game preparation and strategy.
8. Attend all MAC flag football coach meetings.
9. Organize program fundraising.
10. Maintain team social media pages.
11. Promote diverse and inclusive atmosphere within the program.
12. Active involvement in fundraising related to flag football.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Prerequisites:
• COMMUNICATION
• Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability in leading and mentoring.
• EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of five years of progressive college coaching experience
• Head coaching experience preferred.
• EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
