Job Title: Job Operator Job Description Join a dynamic team dedicated to manufacturing industrial lifting and fall protection solutions. As a Job Operator, you will play a crucial role in fabricating crane and fall protection component parts, ensuring the production of high-quality products.
Responsibilities • Fabricate components and sub-assemblies from materials such as steel, rubber, and plastic according to job orders and blueprints.
• Utilize standard hand tools including files, squares, and tape measures.
• Handle and manipulate product components using overhead cranes and fork trucks.
• Coordinate with administration to efficiently complete job orders.
• Wear appropriate safety and protective equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Report labor hours associated with each job via electronic scanner.
• Identify and discard materials that do not meet company standards.
• Assist other personnel as required.
• Conduct inventory cycle counting.
Essential Skills • Experience with hand tools and power tools.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under minimal supervision.
• Adaptability to a constantly changing work environment.
• Teamwork and communication skills to achieve customer satisfaction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications • Comfortable working in a metal shop.
• 3-5 years of fabrication/machining experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to operate machines such as punch press, drill, jigsaw, grinder, gas torch, stud welder, thread tapping equipment, lathe, brake, and plasma cutter.
• Training provided for operating fork trucks and overhead cranes.
Hours • 1st Shift - Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm
Work Environment Work in a metal shop manufacturing company with a team of 48 people. The facility is a large warehouse with individual work cells, primarily dedicated to welding and painting. The company previously operated a second shift but has since adjusted due to COVID . Embrace a collaborative and safety-focused environment while enjoying the comfort of casual attire.
Pay Rate $19 - $20 per hour (Based on experience and interview)
