Job Summary
The Human Resources Intern position will support the local HR People Partner and all related HR topics and special projects. This temporary assignment will provide experience in all aspects of Human Resources Management. Duties will include assisting in employee recruitment, onboarding, HRIS data entry, reporting, and general managerial support.
Job Functions
• Observe all areas of Human Resources
• Be introduced to the various software systems used within the department
• Become familiar with and support Rolls-Royce and MTU Onsite Energy Human Resources processes
• Become familiar and aware of applicable federal and state employment laws
• Maintain employee personnel files. Assist with recruiting and new hire onboarding
• Assist with answering employee inquiries regarding, pay, time off, and benefits
• Audit employee personnel files accuracy
• Audit employment compliance practices, e.g. mandated postings
• Other tasks as assigned by Manager
• Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
• Performs special projects as required
Required Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a university curriculum, majoring in Human Resources Management or Business Management
• Knowledge of basic Human Resources principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Good command of the English language, oral and written
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and to prioritize accordingly
• Must possess the ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism
• Must be able to maintain a very high level of confidentiality
