**PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE** Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Contracts and Business Development Coordinator to lead contract development, execution, and compliance as well as opportunity identification, bid coordination, and internal systems management. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing high-value contract opportunities, collaboratively preparing competitive bids, and managing contract execution to ensure performance, profitability, and compliance with applicable private- and public-sector requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, private- or public-sector procurement, and familiarity with emergency response-related deployments or contracting. Responsibilities Contract Development & Proposal Management Identify, evaluate, and pursue contract opportunities with corporate clients, industry partners, and government agencies at all levels. Actively monitor bid platforms and submit competitive proposals aligned with Safe Industries’ and client needs. Partner with internal teams to ensure proposals are technically sound, financially viable and strategically positioned. Contract Administration Oversee contract lifecycle from negotiation and award to execution, compliance, and renewal. Collaborate across emergency response, finance, legal and logistical teams to ensure timely deliverables, budget adherence, and effective risk management. Monitor contract performance and maintain accurate data across internal and government systems (e.g., CRM, contract databases, SAM). Ensure documentation aligns with federal procurement regulations and grant requirements. Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including FEMA PAPPG, 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance), and state procurement codes. For private-sector contracts, ensure adherence to relevant commercial law, industry standards e.g., OSHA), and internal policies on data privacy, intellectual property and subcontractors. Stay current on regulatory changes and ensure Safe Industries remains compliant across business sectors. Strategic Partner Engagement Collaborate with leadership to identify, evaluate, and engage strategic partners, subcontractors, and suppliers. Serve as liaison with contracting officers, procurement leads, and private-sector clients. Maintain strong relationships to support Safe Industries’ growth and contract fulfillment. Reporting & Audit Support Maintain complete and organized documentation for all contracts and projects. Support internal and external audits by tracking allowable costs, procurement records, subcontractor compliance, system logs, data integrity and other requirements tied to commercial or grant-funded agreements. Required Qualifications: Familiarity with contract, procurement, grant, or deployment package management. Ability to respond to complex Requests for Proposals and manage high-value public and private sector contracts. Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn bid and contract management systems. Preferred Qualifications: Five years of experience in business operations, contract management or procurement. Bachelor’s degree in associated field. Familiarity with FEMA contracting practices, including Stafford Act, PAPPG, and 2 CFR 200. Understanding of logistics, equipment deployment, or emergency response services is a plus. Experience working with both public and private sector clients. Preferred Certifications: Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) Working Conditions: Hybrid or on-site based on operational and business development needs and deployment expectations. May occasionally require travel to client sites or participation in after-hours contract support.
