Per diem Anesthesiologist opportunity with a dynamic team at 232-bed Pottstown Hospital in a beautiful dairy and farming region. The 232-bed Pottstown Hospital, located in Pottstown, PA, is a voluntary nonprofit hospital that is part of Tower Health. This short-term acute care facility has a number of treatment specialties, including sports medicine; joint replacement; arthroscopic surgery; osteoporosis, arthritis; bodily injuries, trauma, and fractures; and behavioral health. Responsibilities include assisting in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department, medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures, pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed. Requirements include M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMC and FLEX, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, and current physician license. The position offers a variety of shifts and a dynamic, team-oriented approach.
