Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Fixed Assets Management:
• Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Assets Ledger across multiple legal entities (EG, CH, and Corporate), ensuring accurate classification, depreciation, and disposal of assets in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS).
• Close out capital projects (CIP) by reviewing and validating that all related costs are appropriately captured and capitalized.
• Manage asset capitalization processes, including verifying asset readiness, determining useful lives, and ensuring timely posting of asset transactions in SAP.
• Conduct periodic asset audits and coordinate with facilities, engineering, and procurement to confirm asset existence and condition.
Capital Investment (CIP) Analysis
• Prepare and analyze CIP spending reports, tracking progress of capital projects and identifying variances between forecasted and actual expenditures.
• Maintain detailed and dynamic projects, spend summaries that provide transparency into ongoing investments and communicate updates to project managers, engineering, and finance stakeholders.
• Assist with budget and forecast input related to capital projects and provide insight into timing and expected capitalization.
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
• Support the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, reconciling GL accounts related to fixed assets and inventory, and ensuring proper accruals and expense recognition.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely close of relevant cost centers.
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables to corporate, including consolidated schedules and management commentary.
Ad Hoc Projects & Process Improvements
• Perform special projects and ad hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives, capital investment decisions, and cost savings efforts.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations related to fixed assets and costing.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP modules related to asset accounting and controlling (FI-AA, CO, MM).

Performance Expectations
• Ensure 100% accuracy in Fixed Assets Ledger entries across EG, CH, and corporate entities.
• Complete monthly and quarterly close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, roll-forwards) on or before scheduled deadlines with minimal review corrections.
• Identify and report any budget overruns, delays, or anomalies in project spend promptly to finance leadership.
• Maintain depreciation schedules and asset capitalization entries with zero material errors.
• Regularly identify discrepancies or unusual trends in asset or cost reports and proactively recommend resolutions.
• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis within agreed timelines, supporting business decisions and strategic projects.
• Maintain expert-level proficiency in SAP FI/CO, MM, and PP modules as they relate to accounting and costing.
• Ensure all system entries, uploads, and reports are accurate, reconciled, and audit-ready at all times.
• Provide monthly and quarterly reporting to stakeholders with clear narratives and actionable insights.
• Actively participate in process improvement initiatives with measurable contributions to efficiency, accuracy, or system enhancements.
Skills And Work Experience Requirements
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on fixed assets and cost accounting.
• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or capital-intensive environment preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP (FI/CO, MM, PP) and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query a plus).
• Deep understanding of GAAP accounting principles, asset capitalization policies, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work cross-functionally.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities, business needs, or reporting requirements.
• Maintains productivity under tight timelines
• Strong attention to detail
Education
• A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field is required.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. The base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. The actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, education, certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.
This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.
Salary Range $100K-108K
