Family Medicine Core Faculty Physician
Location: West Reading, PA

Position Summary:
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a passionate and dedicated Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Core Faculty Physician to join our partner's dynamic and well-respected Family Medicine Residency Program in West Reading, PA . This is a remarkable opportunity to blend comprehensive clinical practice with the rewarding experience of teaching and mentoring family medicine residents and medical students from the Drexel University College of Medicine. The position offers a stimulating mix of ambulatory and hospitalist responsibilities, engagement with a diverse patient population, and dedicated time for resident supervision in various clinical settings. Both new graduates and experienced physicians committed to academic medicine are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality, full-spectrum family medicine care to a diverse patient panel in an ambulatory setting.
• Serve as an attending physician on the Family Medicine inpatient service, leading and supervising the resident team for approximately one week in every eight.
• Supervise and educate family medicine residents and medical students during outpatient clinics, inpatient rotations, and in a nursing home setting (approximately one half-day per month).
• Actively participate in curriculum development, didactic sessions, workshops, and resident evaluation processes.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and effective learning environment that promotes clinical excellence and professional growth.
• Engage in scholarly activities, quality improvement projects, and other academic pursuits as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Participate in a fair and reasonable call schedule structured to support work-life balance.
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Family Medicine.
• Must possess or be eligible for an unrestricted medical license to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• A strong passion for teaching and a commitment to academic family medicine.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, residents, colleagues, and patients.
