Job Summary
Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the University is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University seeks to hire employees with experience working with diverse populations.
The Department of Social Work at Kutztown University invites applications for three or more full and/or part-time temporary faculty positions beginning with the academic year 2025-26 to teach a range of courses in our BSW, MSW, and DSW programs. Experience collegial support in community service and successful scholarship, including opportunities for research and development in school social work, community-based behavioral health, and case management services. Collaborate with faculty in continuing support of the program's conceptual framework: Family in the Social Environment. The successful applicant should be able to teach all levels of courses, from undergraduate to doctoral, during both week and weekend schedules. Demonstration of community service and a record of scholarship are expected. A successful interview and demonstration of teaching effectiveness are required. All applicants for employment are subject to criminal background checks, including child abuse clearance.
Minimum Qualifications
Skills or willingness to develop skills in teaching with online learning platforms and a minimum of an MSW degree with two years' post-MSW experience are required.
Preferred Qualifications
A PhD or DSW degree and teaching experience with expertise in one or more of the following areas are preferred: school social work, direct social work practice, and macro-level social work practice.
