Special Education Teacher
Location : Greenwood, SC
Role : Full-time Special Education Teacher
Responsibilities :
• Develop and adapt daily curriculum techniques tailored to students with diverse learning modalities
• Create and implement approved lesson plans aligning with curriculum standards
• Collaborate with parents, administrators, school psychologists, and other professionals to plan and facilitate Individualized Education Program (IEP) and evaluation meetings
• Act as an IEP facilitator, coordinating between special and general education teachers
• Gather information from team members to write, revise, or update IEPs and data reports
• Complete report cards and progress reports for each student
• Assist in identifying and implementing interventions for students through the Student Study Team process
• Maintain accurate student data for grading systems and IEP goal monitoring
• Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops to enhance professional competence
Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate with an Exceptional Children (EC) endorsement
• Successful background check
