Introduction to the team
Tax Services’ teams deliver quality tax solutions to public and privately owned middle-market companies, not-for-profit organizations and high net worth individuals.
Responsibilities: .
• Provide team leadership to advise clients on corporate, partnership, individual and trust and estate tax matters.
• Oversee US tax compliance for domestic and offshore venture capital funds, private equity funds, fund of funds, management companies, and companies in technology, communications and life sciences industries.
• Advise clients on international tax reporting and multistate reporting and compliance.
• Oversee the preparation and review of ASC 740 income tax calculations for corporate clients.
• Develop relationships with clients, including networking and business development activities.
• Train, mentor, lead, and supervise Tax Seniors and Tax Staff, and ensure that they are up to date on tax practices and tax law.
• Primary tools include MS Office, Wolters Kluwer tax software (CCH Axcess, Pro-fx Engagement, and Workflow), and tax research applications like RIA Checkpoint and BNA.
• Flexible work arrangements require at least 20% time in Phoenix office, and residence within commutable distance.
• Occasional (less than 6 times a year) domestic travel for training and to meet clients.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
• Four years of tax experience in public accounting or tax consulting firm
• Two years of experience supervising and training staff
• CPA or Bar License
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), CCH Axcess Tax, Workflow, and Pfx Engagement
