Description
Inline Filling Systems located in Venice, Florida designs and manufactures world class, application specific, liquid filling machinery for almost all major industries.
We are seeking an accomplished Technical Sales Engineer/Process Engineer with a proven record of selling capital equipment in a process driven company or managing the process/project management side for liquid packaging. Candidates should have a high technical aptitude relating to mechanical machinery and problem solving. Candidates should have professional selling skills and a comprehensive understanding of the sales process including lead qualification and closing skills. Candidates should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with an ability to understand and demonstrate technical features and a value proposition based on the application. Candidates should be accustomed to disciplined and regular outreach in person, via telephone and email to current and prospective customers and have a history of meeting and exceeding sales quotas. Responsibilities:
• Visit potential customers weekly to build/maintain relationships and have a good understanding of market trends and dynamics.
• Attend local and national industry trade shows and market events.
• Travel (40% - 60%) required depending on company and territory needs.
• Continually, in real-time, update our CRM system so we can properly report sales pipeline and forecasting.
• Weekly funnel management, reviewed with Sales Team and supervisor.
• Identify new sales opportunities and follow through to completion.
• Establish, train and maintain independent representative network within the primary territory.
• Create solutions and sell to “C” level prospects.
• Generate quotations based on initial application evaluation and provide to the customer.
• Request drawings and additional engineering review as customer progresses further into the funnel.
• Present complete solutions-based proposals with multiple pieces of mechanical equipment that make up a complete system.
• Make presentations that demonstrate the “value proposition” of the products offered as they relate to the clients’ needs.
• Create and maintain comprehensive files regarding application specific details to use as marketing and sales tools to promote the clients’ business.
• Negotiate project sale price to be within company pricing guidelines.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience or process/project management experience, including a proven ability to exceed annual plans.
• Selling capital equipment, ideally in the packaging sector. Yearly sales of $2.5M or above.
• Experienced and trained in sales, specifically qualifying, closing, meeting and exceeding quotas.
• Significant working knowledge and comfort working with CRM system (which system preferred?) to manage activities
• Experience with indexing packaging machinery specifically liquid filling and capping is a plus.
• Experienced in selling solutions-based and application-specific equipment.
• Experienced in managing customers for multiple levels, styles and types of equipment.
Other Requirements:
• Travel by car or airplane is required; travel to Canada may also be necessary
• A valid passport is required at all times.
