Production Supervisor Job Description The Production Supervisor will oversee the manufacturing and assembly processes at our Sarasota, FL location. This role is responsible for ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of production workers, manage schedules, and maintain quality standards.
Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production team.
• Ensure that production schedules are met and products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
• Monitor and improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Train and mentor production staff, providing guidance and support.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
Essential Skills • Production supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including building formulas and using pivot tables.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Assembly and supervisory skills.
• Minimum of 5 years experience within manufacturing or production supervision.
• Production management and process improvement skills.
• Industrial and management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of production processes and quality control standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in production management software.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in manufacturing, engineering, or related field is a plus.
Work Environment The work environment involves splitting time between the floor and the office, approximately 60/40 or 50/50. There are a total of 59 production employees and 16 team leads. Most of the assembly and manufacturing process is manual, although some machines are utilized.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
