PrideStaff Greenville is seeking an experienced Shipping/Receiving Clerk on behalf of our client in Greenville, SC.
We are searching for a dependable & knowledgeable Shipping/Receiving Clerk. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsibilities maintaining shipping and receiving areas and operating forklifts to assist with loading and unloading trucks. A significant portion of the day involves computer use, specifically with Microsoft products.
Shipping/Receiving Responsibilities:
• Maintains shipping and receiving area as needed.
• Assists with loading and unloading trucks. Schedules truck shipments, UPS, and FedEx
• as needed.
• Interacts with customers as needed to clarify or communicate discrepancies and
• schedules.
• Inspects and records incoming and outgoing orders for count, damage, dates, etc.
• Brings any irregularities or other discrepancies/concerns to supervisor immediately.
• Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and
• as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or
• damage.
Shipping/Receiving Requirements:
• This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder
• Minimum one year experience in computer applications including Microsoft Office
• applications and the ability to learn new software programs related to function
• 2 years or more of Shipping/Receiving Clerk experience
• Shipping experience (preferred)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift certification
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
