Job Summary
Responsible for scheduling patients requiring admission, diagnostics and treatment services, and classes provided by GHS.
Accountabilities
* Coordinates the scheduling of patients requiring admission, diagnostic procedures or classes. Sequences multiple
tests/procedures as needed. Gathers all required patient demographic, clinical and financial information. Coordinates
appointments and classes with the appropriate clinical and clerical staff.70%
* Coordinates physician scheduling with the on-call schedulers. 10%
* Follows protocols for "day of", prep instructions, emergencies, and rescheduling. 10%
* Communicates with physician office representatives in a professional and efficient manner. 10%
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience
3 years

Other Required Experience
Familiarity with medical terminology- Required
Medical office, multi-physician practice, or in-patient medical unit experience- Preferred
Proficient in use of telephone equipment, voicemail, and Windows- Required
