Carolina International Trucks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leasing Shop Supervisor to lead our team and ensure efficient and effective shop operations. Job Summary: The Leasing Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the diesel repair shop, including managing technicians, scheduling repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities: Shop Management: Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs. Develop and implement shop procedures and policies to optimize productivity and quality. Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Team Leadership and Management: Supervise and mentor diesel technicians and support staff. Schedule and assign work orders, ensuring optimal utilization of resources. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. Recruit, hire, and train new technicians as needed. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment. Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and resolving issues promptly. Communicate with customers regarding repair status and estimates. Maintain strong relationships with customers and build customer loyalty. Handle customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner. Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to technicians. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex diesel engine and vehicle issues. Stay up-to-date on the latest diesel technology and repair techniques. Ensure all repairs are performed to the highest standards. Financial Management: Monitor shop expenses and control costs. Prepare and manage shop budgets. Approve purchase orders and invoices. Ensure accurate and timely billing. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and inventory. Generate reports on shop performance and productivity. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Shop Supervisor or similar role. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine and vehicle repair. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Knowledge of inventory management and cost control. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Valid driver's license. Certifications such as ASE certifications, or manufacturer specific certifications are highly desired. Experience with fleet management is a plus. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
