Description This position will build a personalized recommender system to suggest alternate food habits and recipes, and introduce new cuisines considering someone’s time, location, and food preferences with the intent to make them rely less on their current “unhealthy food choices” in a subtle manner like diverting one’s attention form daily choices for a bit Examples of Duties Find, study, and analyze published research articles, datasets, and tools (like available apps) relevant to topic/work (the details can be found in section C). The first week or two will primarily focus on that Update the professor about work progress via a shared directory (GitHub or Google Drive) and meet virtually twice/once a week Start writing code to collect and analyze data to prepare meaningful outcomes (from the third week or so) Produce/create the intended app/software (as the outcomes seem promising).
