Job Summary As the Corporate Controller at ClearWater Solutions, you will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring the highest level of financial integrity, and contributing to the achievement of our long-term strategic objectives. Your strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and vision will play a pivotal role in guiding our financial decision-making, risk management, and overall financial health. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy and Planning: Assist in the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with ClearWater Solutions' long-term goals and growth objectives. Work closely with the CFO and other senior leaders to provide valuable financial insights to support strategic planning and decision-making. Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance evaluations. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analyses. Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to determine reasons for variances from budget. Accounting Operations: Manage daily accounting processes (e.g., accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, revenue recognition and general ledger). Develop and implement accounting processes, policies and procedures. Manage the month end closing cycle and general ledger reconciliation process. Risk Management and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws and accounting principles. Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring successful completion of audits and compliance with regulatory requirements. Capital Management and Investment: Analyze capital requirements for expansion, new projects, and potential acquisitions, evaluating investment opportunities for the company. Collaborate with the executive team to assess financial implications of strategic initiatives. Manage capital appropriation requests to ensure proper return on investment is realized. Cash Flow Optimization: Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support daily operations and strategic investments. Implement efficient cash management practices to maximize returns on surplus funds. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment to drive employee engagement and professional growth. #ZR Job Listings - ClearWater Solutions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA designation is preferred. Proven track record (7+ years) of successful experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within the environmental services or related industry. Strong understanding of financial management principles, accounting standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks. Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, and budgeting. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; Deltek Vision preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex financial information to diverse stakeholders. Strategic mindset with a history of contributing to business growth and profitability. Adaptable, proactive, and results-oriented, capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Salary: $130,000 - $165,000 a year
