Job Summary
Spartanburg School District One is seeking a responsible, professional, and safety-minded individual to serve as a Door Monitor / Weapon Detection Screener . In this important role, you will help ensure a secure and welcoming environment by monitoring school entry points and screening all individuals entering the building using approved access control systems.
Responsibilities
• Monitor building entrances to ensure compliance with school access procedures.
• Operate and assist with security and screening systems, including weapon detection tools.
• Greet and interact professionally with students, staff, parents, and visitors.
• Report security concerns or policy violations to school leadership or security personnel.
• Maintain awareness and vigilance at all times during assigned shifts.
• Support safety protocols and follow all school district policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Experience working with students or in a school setting is a plus

Work Schedule & Compensation
• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
