This position is hiring at the Journeyman level, troubleshooting will be the positions priority. Candidates will possess the ability to work with PLC’s, VFD’s, Counters, scales, solenoid, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators. Other responsibilities will include addressing general maintenance issues which include a diverse set of duties that install, maintain, and repair all production facility equipment and support equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive processes that support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Position is 1st shift.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs mechanical repairs on production equipment.
Familiar with basic to intermediate electrical checks and repairs.
Journeyman electrician experience a plus.
Maintain housekeeping and organization of equipment, parts and tools.
Lock and unlock perimeter gates as scheduled.
Make routine security checks and report anything unusual.
Installs and mounts motors.
Must qualify for forklift license.
Responsible for PM and repairs to warper, beamer, blockers, sewing machines, coating machines, bonding machines skivers, pirn and quill winders, unifil winders, skivers, presses, automatic cutters
Assist loom and sewing machine techs as needed.
Responsible for repair and replacement of plant lighting.
Checks and maintains oil levels in all gear boxes and air compressors.
Installs electrical wiring and equipment; new electrical services.
Repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches.
Have an understanding of Three phase electrical troubleshooting.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
Regular, predictable, reliable attendance is required.
Use proper safety equipment and follow safety procedures (i.e., lockout/tagout).
