Lead Conveyor Engineer – Bulk Material Handling
An industry leader in bulk material handling systems is seeking a Lead Conveyor Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to oversee the design and execution of complex conveyor projects from concept to commissioning. This is a high-visibility leadership role working closely with senior engineering and project management teams to drive technical accuracy, on-time delivery, and coordination across internal and external resources.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead conveyor system design using SolidWorks , AutoCAD , and Belt Analyst
• Develop general arrangement drawings, chute/tower layouts, and foundation interfaces
• Define power requirements and specify mechanical components
• Coordinate efforts across mechanical, structural, electrical , and vendor teams
• Manage third-party engineering partners and detailing support
• Support erection sequences, shipping logistics, and construction coordination
• Report weekly progress, manage engineering hours, and lead design reviews
• Participate in post-project evaluations and lessons learned
Qualifications
• ~ 5+ years of recent experience in bulk material handling conveyor design
• Strong background with CEMA conveyors and heavy industrial systems
• Proficiency in SolidWorks , AutoCAD , and Belt Analyst
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Familiarity with hydraulic/electrical components and AISC fabrication standards

• Up to 25% travel during field phases
