We are searching for an experienced Director of Operations at our Mankato, MN facility.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Operations to lead and enhance all aspects of operational performance across our facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery, product quality, cost control, and operational excellence through effective leadership, workforce development, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee all operational functions to meet customer commitments, including timely shipments, quality assurance, and cost objectives.
Lead site-level operations teams to optimize order processing, inventory management, receiving, shipping, and returns.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels aligned with operational needs and budgetary targets.
Implement training programs to standardize and elevate performance across all facilities.
Develop and execute operational policies aimed at increasing competitiveness and profitability.
Identify and lead initiatives to enhance productivity, minimize waste and scrap, and maintain production standards.
Direct capital expenditure plans and manage major operational projects (e.g., facility reconfiguration, new equipment installations).
Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing multi-site operations
Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, equipment, and process improvement strategie
Background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills across all organizational levels and external stakeholders
Experience Expectations
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in metal fabrication or a related industry
