The Berlin Steel Construction Company is a full service specialty contractor, primarily with structural steel and miscellaneous metals. We design, fabricate, and erect structures in the Northeast and in other parts of the country. We have 2 fabrication facilities, 4 erection operations facilities, and 6 office locations that provide engineering and management of projects. We are a 100% employee-owned company (ESOP) with a desire for growth. We service the private commercial, public, institutional, and industrial markets.
About The Role
• We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Estimator to join our team in our Glen Burnie, MD location.
What you"ll do
• The Estimator is responsible for quantity takeoff of structural steel and/or miscellaneous metals by by professionally thorough and accurate estimates of cost.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience estimating with structural and/or miscellaneous metals with an understanding of quantifying material, and shop and field labor. Applicants should have a minimum of one to three years of experience in the construction field with training in estimating costs and a Bachelor"s degree in construction science OR five (5) years of experience in construction estimating. Must be proficient with spreadsheets and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
