Day to day responsibilities:
This team manages and supports the organization and handles any new properties. This person will work with facility management teams and real estate management development teams. There are 15 people on this team overall. This person will work cross-functionally with project leads across the project landscape. There are various construction projects going on and this person facilities the checking in and checking out and administration of the drawings. Responsible for putting drawings together to send to Engineering company to design new buildings. Then this person receives drawings from Engineering company and reviews them to ensure they meet standards. They then re-file these drawings back into the archive system. In addition, this position is responsible for facility information system. This keeps up with all the square footage of the various locations in the North America region portfolio. They use this information to establish the overall department budget. This person will be responsible for updating this portfolio database. They also keep up with the archive of all the drawings of North America locations. In addition, they are transitioning this internal database to an SAP REFX specific system. These drawings need to be changed into a specific format that can be read in the new system. 25% of job is actually doing the CAD drawings. Must be very familiar with CAD to be able to correct or modify something. For the most part its modifying drawings. This person will also help with transition from 2D and 3D drawings to BIM (Building Information Modeling).
Nice to have: German language skills would be a plus. Previous experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
Must have: Please refer to JFDS for the only must have requirements. Microsoft Office experience required.
Travel: 5% or less offsite travel may be required to any North America locations
Work from home: During initial onboarding phase must be 100% onsite, then can potentially move to 60% onsite/ 40% work from home
. Position Purpose/Scope: What are the key objectives of the position?
Creates, maintains, and reviews BIM drawings to implement facility-related construction projects. Implements and steers LEAN methodology within Real Estate Projects.
II. Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities: List the major duties/accountabilities to achieve the positions key objectives.
• Manages design/as built drawings and documentation for PI-4 US Region (Plant 10 and C4).
• Reviews design/as built drawings for accuracy. Field verifies drawings.
• Maintains drawing design standards consistent with current archives.
• Maintains and modifies Real Estate Project Systems (E.g. KLUSA, SWOOP) data and coordinates updates and corrections with the Central PI department.
• Creates, maintains, and modifies drawings to consolidate the work of multiple Architect Engineering Firms and GCs working on the same drawings into one consolidated drawing.
• Maintains project documentation on Systems.
• Creates and maintains drawings based on 3D Laser Scanning Efforts.
• Performs laser scans as necessary to obtain accurate field data.
• Coordinates implementation of PI-4 Real Estate Development Digitalization efforts.
• Implements and steers LEAN methodology within Real Estate Projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned by MC Capital Projects Management Team.
III. Position Competencies:
A) Education: BA/BS Degree in a technical field, preferably in an IT/Engineering Discipline (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Structural), or the equivalent of 4 years of professional experience in an engineering or construction role.
B) Experience: 5+ years of IT/Engineering experience in an industrial/construction environment.
5+ years of experience with BIM software.
2+ years of experience with LEAN methodology.
