JOB TITLE : Software Developer
JOB DUTIES : Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of user areas utilizing Oracle RDBMS. Work in an agile environment interacting with architects, cross functional engineering teams, Product Management and QA to ensure we develop the correct product for the job at hand. Develop technical solutions that appropriately account for both evolving technology and future business requirements. Plan and execute upgrades and replacements to ensure that hardware and software components remain supported by performing the application health checkups, upgrades and migrations. Resolve or escalate risks and issues by monitoring batch processes, handling exceptions, monitoring reports and working with business users to fix data issues. Work on enhancing the code to improve the performance. Collaborate with IT colleagues and the Business in the design and implementation of technical solutions through various means of communication including working with the offshore team by performing code reviews. Clarify inconsistencies and resolve issues to bridge the gap between user expectations and the delivered product by providing support for business-critical applications, identifying, and providing solutions to application software issues. Coordinate release planning and off-cycle efforts such as analyzing data extraction, cleansing/Mining, visualization, profiling, modelling, prediction, validation, and hypothesis testing. Assisting other team members as appropriate by performing code walk throughs and sharing knowledge on the bug fixes. Resolve escalated support topics by identifying the issue, trouble shooting and debugging the issue, deploying the code and then monitoring the production deployment and resolving post implementation issues. Test deliverables against a user story's acceptance criteria to validate that the delivered product meets the business goals by framing a detailed Design of Test plan for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and leading the approach of Test strategy. Write custom queries to generate sample reports from data base for the business units to validate. Provide production support to ensure the uninterrupted flow of IT processes. Provide ad hoc support to the business users by developing operational reports and custom reports when requested. Commit to and actively work to remain knowledgeable in latest coding languages, database software, system, standards. Plan and facilitate key Agile events including daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings using Jira, Kanbam, Confluence. Execute ITSM/ITIL processes to ensure ongoing stable operations and alignment with SLAs with the responsibility of providing solutions to application issues to solve moderate to complex problems. Execute appropriate ITPM delivery tasks, activities, and deliverables as necessary to ensure project success by implementing Agile SDLC processes, including ticketing system, Burn up/down charts, scrum sessions and sprint/product backlogs. Create user stories to the level of granularity required by the team by including all the necessary code development details and testing scenarios. Build a strong understanding of the assigned business processes, functions, roles and rules through the experience in designing Business Requirements Documents (“BRD”) and Functional Specification Documents (“FSD”) with the knowledge in coding and developing applications. Collaborate with the Business to elicit requirements, define acceptance criteria and maintain a prioritized product backlog by creating user stories and maintaining the process flow of the tasks in JIRA. Work with Toad, Jira, Confluence, Control M, ODI, RMS applications, Source Tree, Remedy, Oracle APEX and BIP reports.
JOB REQUIREMENT : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, plus 2 years of related experience. Foreign degree equivalent is acceptable. Experience to include working with Toad, Jira, Confluence, Control M, ODI, RMS applications, Source Tree, Remedy, Oracle APEX and BIP reports.
SALARY : $87,027.00 per year
HOURS : 40 hours per week, M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
JOB LOCATION: 220 N. Main Street , Suite 500 , Greenville, SC 29601 . Travel not required but must be willing to relocate to unanticipated cities across the country per contract demand.
