We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and comfortable accommodations to our guests. Summary We are seeking an Engineering Supervisor to join our team at Embassy Suites by Hilton. Responsible for repair and service of all mechanical equipment on property including refrigeration equipment. Assist the Director of Engineering with the supervision of the department. Responsibilities Essential functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Maintains high morale on the engineering shift. 2. Teaches engineering staff how to maintain and repair equipment. 3. Coaches and counsels team members as needed. 4. Understands all building related systems and equipment – Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety, IT, Kitchen, Pool, etc. 5. Follow company preventative maintenance procedures and guidelines for guestrooms, equipment, public space, grounds, landscaping and building envelope. 6. Tour hotel complex daily identifying items requiring engineering, housekeeping or other departmental action. 7. Monitor and maintain all Engineering spaces in a safe, clean, organized, energy efficient manner. 8. Considered the property expert on all Life Safety related items, trains all managers in these areas. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a mechanic working on HVAC equipment, pumps, refrigeration equipment, boilers and control systems. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. ● Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Requires both good communication skills, both verbal and written. ● Must possess basic computer skills. ● Must possess basic computational ability. ● Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments and other locations of the hotel in timely basis. ● Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally up to 100 lbs. ● Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
