Offensive Line Football Coach
Position Summary
North Greenville University is seeking an Offensive Line Coach to oversee the development and performance of its offensive line unit. The coach will work closely with the offensive staff to design position-specific instruction, contribute to game planning, recruit student-athletes, and cultivate a Christ-centered team culture. This role plays a vital part in creating a disciplined, high-performing offensive front that supports both the athletic and spiritual growth of our players. This is a part-time temporary position lasting six months.
Primary Responsibilities
Coaching & Player Development:
• Develop and implement training plans to enhance the technique, fundamentals, and overall performance of offensive linemen.
• Provide individual and group instruction on pass protection, run blocking, assignments, and situational football.
• Lead position meetings, film breakdown sessions, and on-field drills during practices and games.
• Evaluate game and practice film to offer personalized feedback and development plans for each player.
• Collaborate with the Offensive Coordinator to prepare and execute weekly game plans.
Recruiting
• Identify and recruit student-athletes who embody the mission and values of North Greenville University.
• Assess film, engage with high school coaches, and coordinate on-campus visits and evaluations.
• Monitor player engagement and academic progress to support retention and overall success.
• Assist with recruiting events, communication, and maintenance of recruiting databases.
Program Leadership & Administration
• Serve as a mentor and example to student-athletes, emphasizing academic excellence, spiritual formation, and personal responsibility.
• Adhere to all NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and policies.
• Work alongside academic and athletic support services to track eligibility and academic performance.
• Participate actively in team functions, fundraising initiatives, and community outreach projects.
• Promote a positive and accountable team environment aligned with the university’s Christian mission and values.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to effectively communicate and instruct in live coaching environments.
• Physical ability to demonstrate techniques, drills, and conditioning exercises.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Strong vision and hearing for evaluating player performance.
• Stamina to participate in long practices, travel, and recruiting activities.
Work Schedule & Travel Requirements
• Requires non-traditional hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the program.
• Travel is expected for away games, recruiting trips, and other football-related events.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of football coaching experience, preferably with the offensive line.
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Track record of developing and positively influencing student-athletes.
• Commitment to the mission and values of North Greenville University.
• Affirm understanding of the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
• Affirm understanding of the University’s Statement on Human Flourishing.
• Willingness to comply with all university handbooks and community standards
