About the Position
Lead the future of sustainable Waste Management.

• Lead with Purpose: Direct landfill operations to meet and exceed Federal, State, and Local regulations while pioneering new waste management solutions
• Engineer the Future: Oversee critical landfill engineering systems including leachate and landfill gas management
• Develop Strategic Vision: Develop and implement long-term plans for solid waste facilities and operations
• Manage Resources: Prepare and oversee operational budgets and capital improvement projects

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field AND six (6) years of progressively responsible related experience.
• -OR- Master’s Degree in related field AND four (4) or more years of related experience.
• -OR- May consider substituting years of experience for the 4 year degree.
• Four (4) or more years of supervisory/management experience.
• Valid Florida driver's license at the date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced certifications: SWANA Manager of Landfill Operations, Florida Landfill Operator Certification, Certified Public Manager, Florida Certified Spotter, FDEP Certified Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspection, and/ or Florida Professional Engineer license.
• Experience in solid waste and/or advanced education in environmental engineering and solid waste management.
• Experience with design, permitting, and operations of a Class I Landfill including leachate, landfill gas, and other associated systems.
• Knowledge in AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey methods.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening.  An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five (5) years.
Physical Demands: Must frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
