Minimum Qualifications: Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Position Summary: This position is responsible for the prescription of technical solutions, technology support, training delivery, and IT project management for specifically assigned departments and units within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES). It is also a valuable member of the CAES Office of Information Technology (OIT) Athens Campus Operations Team routinely staffing the CAES IT Service Desk. The position is based on the UGA Athens Campus and reports to the OIT IT Manager for Athens Campus Operations. It works collaboratively with other IT professionals associated with both the Athens Campus Operations and the Field Service Operations Teams. This position is also responsible for the coordination and management of all student employees assigned to the IT Service Desk. This is a specialized, highly-responsible position with a broad understanding of information technology in the modern enterprise. This IT Professional will be the local IT expert for the units and departments it serves having the responsibility to prescribe, configure, secure, deploy and support software, hardware resources, server and storage systems and networking infrastructure.
