Job Description
Sarasota Ford is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Diesel Technician to join our service team. This role is ideal for a tech who has proven experience with diesel engines and wants to continue honing their skills in a modern, well-equipped shop. You'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks and vehicles, ensuring top performance and safety for our customers.
Job Type & Schedule
• Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday,
• Pay: $60,000 - $150,000/year based on previous experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair diesel engine systems with precision and efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance and detailed inspections on Ford Super Duty trucks and other diesel vehicles
• Accurately document work performed and communicate findings to service advisors
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ford diesel technologies and participate in ongoing training
• Ensure repairs meet dealership, manufacturer, and safety standards
• Keep workspace clean and organized, and comply with all shop safety protocols
Qualifications
• Extensive experience working with diesel engines, preferably Ford Power Stroke
• Ford Diesel Certification is a major plus
• Strong diagnostic skills with diesel-specific tools and software
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform job duties in a busy shop environment
