Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The Multimedia Coordinator is responsible for creating compelling visual stories across multiple platforms, using videography, photography, and creative graphics to support the Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach marketing and communication efforts. This position works within the Office of Communications to develop visual concepts that best support strategic messaging, providing innovative solutions to showcase multi-media communications. Core responsibilities include photography and some videography, implementing UGA visual branding, and creating communications collateral, such as editorial photos, videos and animated graphics. This role involved taking photos and creating video content for website display, social media, digital campaigns, and newsletters. The Multimedia Specialist should be a flexible, positive, creative person who enjoys the storytelling process and takes pride in delivering creative, high-quality work. Projects will involve collaboration with other communicators, writers and designers. Occasional night and weekend travel may be required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies
• Visual communicator with strategic experience.
• Demonstrates high degree of photography and video production and post-production skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience concepting, shooting, and editing photo & video; editing sound and color, as well as tagging and archiving using photo/videography storage system(s).
• Working knowledge of social media and producing content for social platforms (including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube).
• Professionalism and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment as well as independently.
• Familiarity of Digital Arch, UGA’s digital asset management system, a plus.
Physical Demands
Sit at a desk, stand for long periods of time, carry up to 20 pounds, and handle photos/video equipment.

Provide high-quality visual outputs through photography, videography and design for the division. Includes coordinating scheduling, producing photos, videos or design, reviewing production, and handling equipment needs.

Manage and maintain archive of images, graphics, videos and other collateral and managing outside video productions when needed.

Confer with the Senior Director for Marketing and Communications to create concepts to support visual communications across the division, including social media, websites, newsletters, multimedia and print publications and other collateral.
