Position Information

Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of management experience.
• Experience in project management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet firm deadlines.
• Proven experience in marketing management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with educational programming and training.
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
• Prior experience with stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with public speaking and professional writing.
• Strong knowledge of digital marketing.
Position Summary
Role
The successful candidate will assist in coordinating and implementing applied research protocols supporting grain crop producers in Georgia. Specifically, the candidate will play a vital role in:
• Project management
• Collaborating with the program leader to shape and refine research priorities
• Developing, implementing and executing strategic communication, outreach and educational strategies
• Providing campaign and brand management
• Tracking and analyzing research data
• Actively participating in planning, execution and evaluation of research and extension programs
• Representing the Extension Grains Program at academic, professional and stakeholder events
• Assisting in mentoring and supervising student workers and grad students
This is a 12-month funded position. Continuation beyond 12 months will be contingent upon additional funding.

• Coordinate and implement statewide applied research protocols supporting grain crop producers in Georgia.
• Project management (Lead administrative and day-to-day research operations for the Extension Grains Program).
• Collaborate with the program leader to shape and refine research priorities based on stakeholder input and emerging issues.
• Develop, implement, and execute strategic communication, outreach, and educational strategies to enhance visibility and accessibility of science-based information.
• Participate actively in planning, execution, and evaluation of research and extension programs.
• Represent the Extension Grains Program at academic, professional, and stakeholder-focused events including field days, conferences, and extension meetings.
• Collaboration: Assist in mentoring and supervising student workers and graduate students.
Percentage of time 75 Duties/Responsibilities
• Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze research data in coordination with program leader to disseminate findings through presentations at regional and national meetings, as well as through extension publications and peer-reviewed journals.
• Campaign Management: plan, execute, and oversee marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
• Brand Management: ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials and channels.
