General Summary of Position
Job Summary:
MedStar Health is looking for an OR Case Cart Technician to join our team at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, MD.!
As an OR Case Cart Technician, you will be responsible for pulling surgical instrumentation and supplies for patient/procedure-specific surgical cases.

Primary Duties:
• Communicates regularly with operating room staff to ensure that proper supplies for each case are picked and delivered as needed.
• Completes surgical case cart and surgical equipment staging activities.
• Conducts case cart and instrument return and restocking activities. Conducts equipment cleaning and return activities. Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards.
• Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
• Restocks supply carts in designated areas utilizing inventory control methods.
• Serves as a liaison between clinicians and supply chain to ensure coordination of necessary instruments, supplies and equipment between OR and Sterile Processing.
• Tracks and monitors availability of equipment and instruments for procedures in collaboration with the members of the OR Team throughout the day.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 yrs related experience in clinical or sterile processing setting required.
• Experience working with computerized inventory management systems preferred.
