Senior Principle Subcontracts Specialist
A leading aerospace/defense client is looking to bring on an a Principle Subcontracts Specialist to join a high-impact team supporting mission-critical programs in defense and intelligence. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep expertise in federal procurement and subcontract management, ready to take on complex challenges in a fast-paced, classified environment. Candidates need to have active TS/SCI clearance. Polygraph is not necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all subcontract-related communications and commitments.
• Lead cross-functional teams in developing subcontract statements of work, technical specifications, and flow-down requirements.
• Ensure subcontract documentation aligns with program contract terms, mitigates risk, and complies with federal regulations.
• Manage subcontractor performance, including budgets, schedules, risk, and earned value metrics.
• Build and maintain long-term, strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive competitive advantage.
Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred) and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS, federal procurement laws, and contractual flow-downs.
• Proven ability to manage complex subcontracts and influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Experience with program and contract management, including technical performance and risk oversight.
