Line Coordinator
Hood Container Corporation (HCC) is seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as a Line Coordinator. The Line Coordinator is a working position that has overall first level responsibility for the efficient and correct operator of a packing or assembly line.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to the Production Supervisor.
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Duties And Responsibilities
• Responsible for the correct set-up of an assembly or packing line.
• Responsible for the quality of the finished product.
• Responsible for following all Procedures and Work Instructions pertaining to Production.
• Ensure adequate instructions are given to enable contract workers to perform specific job requirements.
• Provide training to Assistants.
• Perform the necessary paperwork and reports for the line.
• Ensure production schedule is met.
• Promptly report problems, concerns, or out-of-standard conditions to the Supervisor.
• Work with Supply to insure the uninterrupted supply of raw materials.
• Work with the Shipping Department to insure the prompt removal of finished product.
• Communicate all production problems, delays, changes, etc. to Production Supervisor.
• Enforce and follow all Safety and Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) rules.
Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D or a combination of work experience and education.
• Possess the skills necessary to perform reading, writing and mathematics to maintain the required production reports and plan balanced workloads.
• Perform the duties of Line Coordinator with minimal supervision.
• Effectively communicate instructions and requirements.
• Demonstrate initiative and effectiveness in dealing with out-of-the ordinary situations which may arise in the course of the job.
• Work overtime or odd shifts as necessary to meet production requirements.
• Maintain an exceptional level of attendance and punctuality.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Packing solutions industry experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in high temperature & humidity conditions while wearing proper PPE including, but not limited to, hearing protection, steel toe shoes and safety glasses.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Willing and able to work up to 12-hour shifts.
